I got the inspiration for this project while waiting for my film to develop. Before we actually see the final photographs, we have all sorts of imaginations about how they will turn out, as if the elements in the images are constantly changing and forming various possibilities in my brain. The same shape can create entirely different effects when its position is shifted, twisted, or stretched.
I abstractly represent various elements of photography, such as long strips of film, flashes, camera dials, and lens filters. I envision these elements constantly transforming, merging, and interacting to create a harmonious composition. Imagination always enables us to perceive things in new and unexpected ways.
Within the transformation, I embedded the word "tick" into the scene, suggesting that time is quietly and steadily moving forward.
